a taste of the dark side

I made an attempt at that crocheting thing for the first time on Monday. I felt like I needed to accomplish SOMETHING over the weekend, so there you go. It was...different. I didn't hate it, but don't know that I liked it necessarily--my wrists didn't enjoy it and there seems to be no comfortable way to hold the yarn in my left hand. Also, I don't know the best way to weave in ends...I'm sure I can find that out somewhere, though. I figure I'll try out a project every once in a while, but it's not going to be something I do all the time. My first project is the "Strut" hat from the Stitch 'n Bitch crochet book. Since it's a felted piece, I'm not going to worry about the minor errors that I know will be there.
