hat obsession
Lately I've really been into making hats. Not that it's a new thing to me, and I still like making toys, too, but...I procrastinate big time when it comes to assembling the pieces together. (The pig still needs to be finished.) With hats, I can just go around and around and decrease and draw the yarn through the last few stitches and poof! The hats I'm making right now involve ribbing because I wanted to learn how to decrease in ribbing. I left an opening in the top of the first hat I made because I normally wear my hair in a ponytail. I didn't go by a pattern for that one, I sort of decreased in the purls first and I thought that would look alright. It doesn't, it looks funny, but I'll wear it anyway. Right now I'm making a hat in this stuff based on a WWII-era pattern I saw online. I'll definitely post a picture of that when I'm done; I'm really happy with the way that one's turning out.
